Enemy Earth

Enemy Earth stray from the beats and dust covered psych that made up the bulk of their Interstellar Commute album. Throwing any fan expectations that may have lie within their ranks aside; Bardo wafts through haunted melancholia, ambient specters and psychedelic subtleties that recall more meditative peers like Leyland Kirby or the more sprawling impulses of Demdike Stare. Grainy samples bump against methodical swells of bass and the weary plunk of pianos to create a record that is packed with far less movement than the band's debut but far more emotion than they've ever expressed. This marks a welcome shift in sound and a great addition to the current trend towards classical/textural minimalism.
